Printings versus unique cards
“How many cards” has two honest answers. Counting printings, every version that has its own collector number or its own TCGplayer product, the catalog has 1,702. Counting unique cards by name, with variants merged into one, it has 1,111. Collectors usually mean printings; players building a deck mean unique cards.

“Variants” here means everything in the set that is not a standard numbered card: alternate art, signature, overnumbered, Metal and similar printings.
How the count grows
New sets keep adding cards. Every set and its release date shows the order they arrived in, and each of the four variant types has its own page: alternate art, signature, overnumbered and Metal.
Why the number on your card is not the total
The number after the slash in a collector line is the size of the numbered set, not everything printed for it. Variants and promos sit outside it, which is why a set with a printed size of a few hundred has a larger catalog count. See how to read a Riftbound card.
As of 26 October 2026, 1,632 of these printings have a TCGplayer price; the median is $0.29. Break the catalog down by card type, domain and rarity in the other guides in this series.
How these numbers are calculated
Every figure on this page is calculated when the site is built, from the public RiftHunt card catalog and the daily TCGplayer price estimates published through the RiftHunt API. A printing’s headline price is its normal market price, otherwise its foil market price, otherwise its lowest listing. Medians are used instead of averages so a few expensive cards do not distort the result. Prices are estimates for typical copies, not offers to buy or sell.
