“Printings” counts every version in the catalog, including alternate-art, signature, overnumbered and Metal cards. “Numbered cards” counts only the standard cards numbered within the set.
Full sets, small sets and promo sets
- Full sets are the large expansions with more than two hundred printings each.
- Promo sets are named “Promotional” and gather cards that were handed out rather than sold in boosters. The promo sets guide covers each one.
- Small sets hold a handful to a few dozen cards, such as Origins: Proving Grounds or Secret Garden.
Which set is a card from?
Read the set code at the start of the collector line in the bottom-left corner (see how to read a Riftbound card). The code decides which set page to open, and the price you see belongs to that exact printing.
What each set costs and contains

How these numbers are calculated
Every figure on this page is calculated when the site is built, from the public RiftHunt card catalog and the daily TCGplayer price estimates published through the RiftHunt API. A printing’s headline price is its normal market price, otherwise its foil market price, otherwise its lowest listing. Medians are used instead of averages so a few expensive cards do not distort the result. Prices are estimates for typical copies, not offers to buy or sell. RIFT SCAN is an unofficial fan project; see about RIFT SCAN, or look up any card in the set lists.

- Promo sets guideThe catalog has 3 promo sets: Riftbound Promotional Cards (PR, 16 printings); Riftbound Organized Play Promotional Cards (OPP, 213 printings); Riftbound Judge Promotional Cards (JDG, 4 printings). Promo cards are distributed through events and programs rather than sold in boosters, and the Organized Play set is where the Metal cards live.
- How many cards existThe Riftbound catalog lists 1,702 printings in 10 sets and promo sets. They are 1,111 different cards once variants are merged: 126 alternate-art, 50 signature, 88 overnumbered and 28 Metal printings account for much of the difference.
- Cost to complete a setAs of 26 October 2026, the cheapest way to own one of every numbered card in a Riftbound set ranges from about $49.16 to $2,107.30 depending on the set. Each total uses the cheaper finish of every card, and a few expensive cards usually make up most of it.
- Reading the set code and numberLook at the bottom-left corner of a Riftbound card. A line such as "VEN • 134/166 • EN" gives the set code (VEN), the collector number (134), the number of cards in the set (166) and the language (EN). Together, set code and number identify the printing, which is what a price check needs.
