Riftbound promo sets guide: Promotional, Judge and Organized Play cards

Topic: Sets & collecting

The promo sets at a glance

Promo sets are small compared with the main expansions and are numbered separately, so a promo’s set code (PR, JDG or OPP) is the quickest way to recognise one.

Riftbound Judge Promotional Cards (JDG) has 4 printings in the catalog, with its first release on 1 December 2025. As of 26 October 2026, the highest-priced are Heimerdinger, Inventor ($415.81), Blue Sentinel ($353.04), Gangplank, Naval ($272.49).

Why promo cards are tricky to price

• Many promos reprint a card from a main set with different art or a different finish, so the name alone does not identify them.
• Their prices often differ widely from the standard card, as shown in variant price premiums.
• Metal promos are easy to confuse with standard cards when scanning: see Riftbound Metal cards.

Collecting promos

Promo printings are not required to complete a base set, so they sit outside the estimates in the cost to complete a set. They do count in a master set. To place promos in the wider picture see every Riftbound set and release date, and use the binder to keep them separate from your main-set cards.

How these numbers are calculated

Every figure on this page is calculated when the site is built, from the public RiftHunt card catalog and the daily TCGplayer price estimates published through the RiftHunt API. A printing’s headline price is its normal market price, otherwise its foil market price, otherwise its lowest listing. Medians are used instead of averages so a few expensive cards do not distort the result. Prices are estimates for typical copies, not offers to buy or sell. RIFT SCAN is an unofficial fan project; see about RIFT SCAN, or look up any card in the set lists.
